(3.1) Starting Stack 10,000
(3.2) Attendance - 200 per game
(3.3) Points x 10
(3.4) Cash won x 2
Example: Pedro Pokerplayer shows up to 7 games. He has 325 points. He won a total of $405.
Pedro starts the main event with (10,000+1400+3250+810) = 15460.
(3.5) All chips will be rounded to the nearest 25.
(4.1) English is to be spoken only at the table. Unless you are on your phone and not directing your conversation to any player at the table.
(5.1) All payments must be received by 8pm on the Friday before the tournament. If received after allotted time, it will not count towards the bonus received. Your etransfer will count for the next tournament, and you will need to bring cash for the current tournament.
(5.2) Interac email to mesnik44@gmail.com.
(5.3) This guarantees a seat for you and awards you a 1k bonus, unless received after 8pm Friday..
(5.4) You are entered into the tournament, and will be blinded out.
(5.5) If you are not in your seat by the start of round 4, your chips will be divided and no refund will be given per rule 17.7.
(6.1) The buy-in is $60. $5 to Main Event and $5 to Room Rental. Rebuy will be $50.
(6.2) If you want to play Kill Shot, it will be an additional $2.
(6.3) If it is a bounty tourney, you must also pay the bounty $5 cost.
(6.4) The clock will be stopped and play at all tables will be halted.
(7.1) Each bounty collected is worth $5. When a player is all in and they lose, they give up their bounty chip.
(7.2) If the person is eligible to rebuy, they must also rebuy a bounty chip from the bank.
(8) TIMER USE
(8.1) Tournament Director software is used for timers.
(8.2) Once the timer goes off, the next level is to be played.
(8.3) If the hand has ended before the final beep, the previous blinds are to be played.
(8.4) When a player is knocked out, ALL PLAY is stopped until the knock out is recorded.
If someone is to be moved, and there is play still going on at a table that needs to be completed, the timer will not run and that hand will be played out. The player will then be moved.
(9.1) There will be 2 guaranteed chip up breaks. One at the 25 level, and the 100 level..
(9.2) All chips that are being coloured up must be set in front of your stack for collection. Any stacks not put out will be removed from play, and not coloured up.
(9.3) If any chip that has been coloured up is found in a players stack, it will be removed from the game and no compensation will be provided.
(9.4) All colour ups are rounded up to the next value of chips. If Green 25 is to be removed, and a player has 3 Green, they will be rounded up to 1 Black.
(9.5) The clock will start without hesitation after the end of the break.
(9.6) The first break may be longer than the posted time, as the admin work involved may take more than 10 minutes.
(10.1) If a player uses an oversized chip (value) as a blind DO NOT MAKE CHANGE for them. Let the player decide if they want change. Asking them to answer you will give information that should be given as it can and will affect the hand. DON’T DO IT!
(10.2) Any bet that has crossed the betting line is considered in play and can not be taken back.
(10.3) If “raise” has been announced, a player can put in an amount to call, and reach for chips to raise.
(10.4) If a player has raised out of turn, and the player behind has called, no further action. If the player behind has raised and changed action, the out of turn player may only take back the amount that was previously called. (IE: Action on table is 100. POoT raises to 400. The player behind calls 100, the POoT raise stands. If action on table is 100, and POoT raises to 400, but now Player behind raises to 600, POoT decided to fold, must leave 100 in pot, and can take back 300)
(10.5) All raises must be at least double the previous bet. If the previous bet is made at 100, the raise then must be to 200.
If a player goes all in and is short of a raise, the next player has the option to call the short raise, and not make the full raise. Example: The blind level is 1500/3000. Player 1 goes all in for 2900, the next player can call the 2900, and not have to call a full raise. If the player after the caller raises it has to be at the 3000 level not the 2900. So a legal raise is 6000, not 5800.
(10.6) If a player misses table action, and calls a bet (say the big blind), but the person before him has raised, they may take their bet back once. The player must leave their bet in the pot if it happens a second time.
(10.7) If a second instance of a person in the same hand says call, then there is no take back and a call has to be made by the player.
(10.8) Non-verbal short raises
If a nonverbal raise has entered the pot, and is short, but is less than 50% of the raise, that bet is just a call.
If a nonverbal raise has entered the pot, and is short, but is 50% or more of the original bet, it must be double the last bet.
(10.9) Accidental Big Blind bet. If a player accidentally pays a big blind, they may pull the blind back and receive no penalty.
(10.10) If in a hand, a player's action has been missed, and the flop is dealt, the cards shall be collected from the flop and reshuffled into the stub. The missed player now has action, and can call, raise, or fold.
(11.1) If a player has been missed;
If it happens a complete re-deal takes place.
(11.2) If a card has been exposed;
In the first 2 people, complete re-deal.
If after the 2nd person, keep dealing, and then the last card goes to the missed player. The exposed card becomes the burn card.
If the dealer's first card is exposed, this is a complete redo. The dealer can not deal themselves 2 cards in a row.
(11.3) During a hand while dealing;
If the card is only seen by the dealer, the hand must be re-dealt.
If the deck stub gets fouled for some reason, such as the dealer believing the deal is over and dropping the deck, the deal must still be played out, and the deck reconstituted in as fair a way as possible. If the deck can not be reconstituted properly, then the deck and all mucked cards will be shuffled together, and the hand will be played out.
If an extra card is exposed on the flop or turn, that extra card is then reshuffled into the deck.
(11.4) If 2 cards are exposed during a deal, the hand is dead, and a complete redeal takes place.
(11.5) If a boxed card is in the stub, it will be treated as a piece of paper, and removed from play.
(12.1) Your hand is declared dead if:
You show your hand to any player or spectator while there is action.
You fold or announce that you are folding when facing a bet or a raise.
You have the clock on you when facing a bet or raise and exceed the specified time limit.
You have more than 2 cards and there has been action on the table.
If a player is missed and ends up with 1 card, and there is action on the table, the player with one card now has a dead hand.
You grab your phone while in a hand, for any reason.
(12.2) Cards thrown into the muck may be ruled dead. However, a hand that is clearly identifiable may be retrieved at management’s discretion if doing so is in the best interest of the game. We will make an extra effort to rule a hand retrievable if it was folded as a result of false information given to the player.
(12.3) Cards thrown into another player’s hand are dead.
Unfortunately, that hand that had contact with mucked cards is dead also, unless that hand is capped.
If it was done maliciously a verbal warning will be issued.
If repeated, the offending player will be ejected from the tournament.
(13.1) Players must not reveal any of their live cards to anyone at the table while a hand is ongoing.
(13.2) If a player intentionally shows any part of their hand to another player or spectator their hand is now dead.
(13.3) If in a heads up condition, a player misinterprets a check or a bet, or does not see that there is one more player in the hand, and exposes their hand, that hand is not dead. Play will continue to the river.
(13.4) If there are 3 or more players in the hand, their hand is now dead.
(13.5) Cards Speak and Exposed Hands Must Be Revealed Fairly.
Scenario - Player 1 goes all in. Player 2 exposes cards accidentally. Player1 and some of the players not in the hand see the cards, but Player 3 does not see cards and still has to act. Player 3 can ask what those cards were. The players not in the hand can not ask.
(14.1) Both cards must be shown to claim the pot.
(15.1) No player may request to see a folded hand at showdown unless;
You suspect collusion that includes chip dumping. DO NOT ABUSE THIS RULE.
(15.2) In heads-up poker, suppose Player A bets the river and Player B calls. If player A mucks their hand without showing it, player B wins and is not required to show their cards. The last live hand takes the pot.
(16.1) Players who have committed their attendance but have not arrived will be assigned a seat and issued chips.
(16.2) The player will post blinds, and will be dealt cards.
(16.3) If the absent player has not arrived before the last hand of the 3rd round is dealt (typically 90 minutes after game start), the absent player's chips are removed from play.
(16.4) If a player requests extra time to show up late, they may be extended until the start of round 7 if it is a special circumstance or a 1 off that is not abused.
(17.1) If a player leaves the table for any reason and will return before 30 minutes are up, they will be responsible for all blinds and will be dealt cards. Players remaining at the table, or another person designated by the absentee, will post all blinds for the absent player.
(17.2) Players not returning within 30 minutes forfeit all remaining chips, to be split evenly among the remaining players. Odd chips are returned to the bank. No refunds.
(17.3) If a player needs to leave, and they won’t return, after round 3, their chips will be split evenly among the remaining players. No refunds.
(17.4) If a player leaves in a bounty tournament for any reason, the bounty will be awarded to the winner of the tournament.
(17.5) If a player leaves and is in the position of money, and they are not leaving due to emergency, or previous arrangement, their prize will be forfeited and split amongst the winners. We have had this happen previously and leaving upset is not an excuse and will not be tolerated.
(17.6) If a player has an emergency, and has to leave within the first 3 rounds, they will be refunded the entry fee, but not the bounty, food or end of year fee.
(17.7) Otherwise, there will be no refunds.
(18.1) The next Big Blind at the most populous table will move to the table with the least.
(18.2) If 2 players need to move, it will be the next Big Blind, and the player after.
(18.3) If a player has been chosen to move to another table, the player can not start in any of the blind positions. They must wait until the button has passed them in this instance.
(18.4) In the event of an unbalanced table, the computer will decide the movement to the new table.
(19.1) The button will start on the seat number that represents the tournament number. EG. if the tournament is in June, then it will be seat 6.
(19.2) For the final table all seats will be redrawn.
(19.3) All final tables will begin when there are 9 players left.
(20.1) If the big blind busts out, the button moves to the player who posted the small blind and the player to the left of the former big blind assumes the big blind. There is no small blind for that hand. On the following deal, the button moves to the now empty seat (the seat vacated by the eliminated big blind player) and the two players to the left post the normal blinds. This will result in the same player being the dealer two hands in a row. When the small blind busts, the button does not move. The player who was the big blind will now post the small blind and the player to his left will post the big blind. This will result in the same player being the dealer two hands in a row.
(21.1) The final player remaining with all the chips will be the first prize winner.
(21.2) The last player eliminated will be the second prize winner; the second last player eliminated will be the third prize winner, etc..
(21.3) If more than one player is eliminated on the same hand, the player(s) with the largest chip count at the start of the hand will be awarded the highest place(s).
(21.4) Any player that is absent, can not win the tournament. The highest place they will get is bubble position, and then their chips will be divided equally among the remaining players.
(21.5) Players may chop to split prizes.
(21.6) In the event of a chop;
2 players - 1 hand will determine who earns first place points.
3 or more players - a flip will determine points.
There will be no suit ranking.
In the event of a tie, the winners will move on to another flip.
(22.1) The Tournament Director is responsible for all table, seating and dealer decisions.
(22.2) In the case of disputes and rules interpretations, the Tournament Director will have final say.
(22.3) If the dispute directly involves the Tournament Director, a third-party will be appointed to resolve the dispute.
(22.4) Each table may have a table captain. This is someone who is well versed in Hitmen Poker rules and has played in more than 3 Seasons in the league. They are a trusted advisor. If they are at your table they may make all necessary rulings without having John involved. The table captains moving forward will be Chris Joughin, Mike Yoshioka, and Tony Chan. They may not make a ruling on themselves. If John is involved in a ruling dispute, see Rule 22.3.
Josh Engel holds the record for the quickest coin earned. Done in 16 games.
Ian Rilcoff so far, is the only one to earn it without 44 games, and without any bonus points.
(23.1) Coins are to be awarded from John at his convenience.
(23.2) The coins will never incur a cost to a player.
(23.3) You must earn the right to own a coin (You must qualify under these conditions);
Be an original player from the condo, and have 1500 career points.
Be a Seasonal Champion and have 1750 career points.
Be a Main Event Champion and have 1750 career points.
Be a Seasonal Champion and Main Event Champion and have 500 career points.
Earned 3000 career points.
Have played 44 career games.
(23.4) Main Event and Seasonal Champions earn 1250 pts
(23.5) If a player has not played in more than the 4 previous seasons, all points are forfeited and can not be reclaimed.
(24.1) The player in the Big Blind will post an amount equal to the Big Blind. For example: with blinds at 500-1,000, the player in the Big Blind will post 1,000 for his/her Big Blind, followed by 1,000 for the Ante. His/Her total contribution to that pot is 2,000.
(24.2) The Ante (1,000) is dead and is immediately brought into the pot. The Big Blind (the other 1,000)is live and is part of the pre-flop betting.
(24.3) If a player in the tournament does not have the required amount for both the Big Blind and the Ante, the Big Blind will be paid first, followed by the ante. No matter how many chips a participant starts with he/she can always win the entire ante. For example: the blinds are 4k/8k and the big blind also antes 8k. A participant who is not in the blinds who starts the hand with only 1k gets involved in a three-way pot against the blinds. If that participant wins, he/she wins 11k (his/her own 1k wager, plus 1k from each opponent, plus the 8k ante). In this scenario, 1 chip can win 11 chips. The BB-ante is a rethinking of what the ante is. The ante in this format is no longer a specified amount that each player pays each hand. It’s now a specified amount that each player pays each round.
(25.1) Each person will start with 1 Show 'Em chip. Can used to see a hand at the conclusion of play. Must be played before the cards are mucked. NO DUMPSTER DIVING! You can not dig through the muck to see the folder hand, EVER! The person who is forced to show, will receive the chip and use it for themselves. If you get knocked out with any Show 'Em chips in your stack they are now dead soldiers and can not be transferred.

Pot Limit Omaha Rules:
Hole Cards: Each player is dealt four private cards (hole cards) that are only visible to them.
Betting Rounds: PLO consists of four betting rounds: pre-flop, flop, turn, and river.
Betting Options: In Pot Limit Omaha, players can bet up to the total amount of chips in the pot. This means that the maximum bet allowed is the current pot size. For example, if the pot is 100 chips, the maximum bet or raise would be 100 chips.
The Flop: After the pre-flop betting round, three community cards are dealt face-up on the table. These cards are known as the flop, and they are shared by all players to make the best hand possible.
The Turn: After the flop betting round is complete, a fourth community card is dealt face-up on the table. This card is known as the turn card.
The River: Following the turn betting round, the fifth and final community card is dealt face-up on the table. This card is called the river.
Showdown: Once all the betting is complete, and if there are two or more players remaining, a showdown occurs. The players reveal their hole cards, and the best hand is determined.
Hand Strength: In Pot Limit Omaha, players must use exactly two of their hole cards in combination with three of the community cards to form their best hand. For example, if a player has two aces and two kings in their hand, they can only use two of those cards along with three community cards to make their hand.
Winning the Pot: The player with the best hand at the showdown wins the pot. If multiple players have hands of equal value, the pot is split equally between them.
All-In: If a player does not have enough chips to call a bet or raise during any betting round, they can go "all-in" and bet all their remaining chips. A side pot may be created if other players continue betting.

What’s with the Hitmen?
Long story short, John played on teams called The Hitmen. The Hitmen were a fantastic organisation to belong to. We had won 5 championships and were quite successful. Gary Slavin had done the original artwork of Tommy Gunns, and John created his custom set of chips with him.
How long has Hitmen Poker been running?
Almost 20 years now. It started in August of 2007. John had been invited to play at the Lager Cup and there was a poker tournament. He got the idea to host his own tournaments at home. So with a bed sheet and a glass table, along with Las Vegas plastic chips, Hitmen Poker was born.
How good are the players?
I’m proud to say that we have a great range. There is no one person who wins every time.
What types of poker do you play?
No Limit Hold'Em.
Are your games open to just anyone? How do I get invited?
Hell no. You must know someone in the game that can vouch for you.
If you are invited to a cash game, consider it a feeling out period.
What are other ways I can pay to play?
Interac - Email address is in the rules. Must pay by Friday @ 9pm, the week of the game.
Do you serve food and drink?
Not anymore, or on rare occasions.
What is with the $10 taken from the pool?
This builds the pot for the main event. Each player pays it once per game.
$5 goes towards the rent we have to pay to be able to use the Amenity Room. Only until $600 has been reached.
$5 goes towards the Main Event Pool.
How do I get invited back?
Best answers;
Don’t be an asshole.
Don’t put food or drinks on the tables … EVER!
Play nice with others.
Don’t slow play.
Know the game.
Respect one another.
RESPECT my game and my property.
My wife and I have worked very hard to get “this thing of ours” to where it is today. We’ve spent a lot of money and spent a lot of hours setting this up. It works very well as it is. While I get along with most people, sometimes there are people that just rub me the wrong way. Those will not get invited back.
Tournament entry may be done via Interac email, (this is NOT mandatory) to mesnik44@gmail.com. If you want to Interac it has to be done by 9pm on the Friday before the game. Entry fee = $60. Please add “Entry” to the message field. See Rule 5 for more information.
NO FOOD ALLOWED AT THE TABLES & NO DRINKS ON THE TABLES.
Hitmen Poker is Marijuana Free. Please do not use it if you plan on playing in any events.
All games are by invitation only.
Registration ends at 3:45pm on the game day. If you have paid either in cash or by etransfer you will receive a 1k chip bonus. Etransfers received after 9pm Friday will not be acknowledged and you must bring cash for your entry. Your etransfer will be added for the next tournament. Invites close at this time too.
If you are planning on being late please let me know ahead of time. If you require more than 3 rounds or 1 hour 30 minutes, exceptions can be granted for special cases.
Players that have committed, and are not at the game, have until the 1st break to show. After the break, if they are not at the game, their stacks will be removed. If the player has paid, they have until the end of the second break (Round 6) to show. If they fail to show, no refunds will be given unless the issue is an emergency. The stack that has been paid for will be divided amongst all players.
You must have played 4 games to qualify for the Main Event in November.
Unless otherwise stated, all buy-ins are $60, starting stacks are 10k in chips.
$5 from your buy-in goes to the Main Event Pool. $5 goes to rent (until the rent pool has reached $600) each game.
Rebuys of $50 are limited to 1 per person until the end of the 3rd round. Your points will stop, and you will only gain points via knockouts.
This is a self-dealing game. At the end of your deal you will shuffle cards and hand the deck to the current dealer. The deck must be cut and handed off to the next dealer.
In the event that John is in a dispute over a hand, the table captain will have the final decision.
Verbal bets are binding.

You will just be blinded until that 15 minute round is up.
$2 entry fee per tournament. You can only buy 1 card per tournament.
You may have multiple cards per tournament due to carry over pots.
You may not pre-pay for the next game.
To win, your card must match the River Card on the last hand of the tournament.
The last hand of the tournament must be drawn out to the river regardless of betting actions.
If the pot has not been won, and there are not enough spots to be bought, the remaining spots will be cancelled and an ocean card will be dealt. If still not won, cards will be dealt until the pot has been won.
Example: 46 cards have been bought, leaving 6 left. There is not enough to hold another draw. If the river card produces no winner, a 6th card will be dealt, and so on until the pot has been won.
